I had been having trouble focusing on my hands in down dog. I've used it in 3 positions:under my sticky mat, on top of my mat with the angle facing toward me, and on top of my mat with the angle facing away from me. The cork is so warm and cushions well. By placing the wedge under my mat there is absolutely no slippage and it's easier to transition to other poses. I've used it under hands and feet and found it does help me to focus and ground through to the mat.
