Boost Confidence with Warrior II
|
 |
If you’re a yogi, you’re probably aware that certain positions boost emotions and mental states. Warrior II improves confidence, so next time you’re feeling weak, fearful, or anxious, try doing this Warrior II sequence to improve your confidence:
-
First, stand on your yoga mat with your feet parallel to the edges of your mat.
-
Stretch your arms out to your sides, and line up your ankles underneath your hands.
-
Then, turn your right foot so that your toes are pointing to the front of your mat. Turn your left foot so that your toes are pointing closer to your right foot, on about a 60 degree angle.
-
Bend your right knee so that your knee is directly over your ankle. Engage your left leg and squeeze your quad, rooting down through the outer edge of your left foot.
-
Look over your right hand, and breathe smoothly. Hold this position, and then slowly straighten your knee. Bend and straighten ten times slowly, and feel very strong, powerful, and confident moving in and out of this pose.
