Do you go to the same yoga classes or types of classes every week? Are you set in your yoga ways? This year I’m challenging you to Step It Up and try a yoga class that’s outside of your comfort zone!
Are you a Power Yoga junkie? Try an Iyengar class to bring you back to the basics and improve your alignment in poses! Does the slowness of Gentle or Relax yoga bore you, so you stick with Vinyasa Flow classes? Try to slow down your body and your mind in a Hatha class where you’ll have to work harder to slow down your brain since your body will be moving slower. Are you adamant about not sweating after a yoga class and enjoy the slow stretching? Try out a Bikram (hot) Yoga class and experience yoga on the opposite end of the spectrum!
By stepping out of your comfort zone, you’ll be teaching your mind and body how to better adapt to life’s changes off the mat. And who knows, you may find a new style of yoga that you fall in love with!
