If you dread your workout time, here are some ways to make it more about “me” time and less about being a burden:
- What do you like to do? Do you like to sing or dance? Do you like to run? Do you like to flex your muscles in the mirror? Whatever it is that you like to do, integrate it into your workout. Buy a mirror, download your favorite songs, do running workouts, and even dance to your favorite music.
- Focus on an intention for your workout. What would you like to walk away feeling like? Are you trying to energize, motivate, or strengthen yourself? What is your goal? Focus on that.
- Finally, congratulate yourself after your workout. Celebrate your success by rewarding yourself with a nice long shower, a bath with scented salts, or a warm cup of tea. Be proud of yourself for giving yourself “me” time.
