How to Ween Yourself from Caffeine

If you find yourself reaching for coffee or soda in the morning and afternoon to stay awake, here are some tips for weening yourself off of a caffeine addiction:
- Immediately after getting out of bed, drink a full glass of water. Many people are dehydrated, especially in the morning, so drink water first to nourish your body before adding in any caffeine.

Before you take your first sip of coffee or soda, force yourself to drink one full glass of water. Instead of quenching your thirst with a caffeinated drink, you’ll be less thirsty because of the water.
- Finally, try drinking half a cup of coffe or half of a soda can, and throwing the rest away. Keep lessening the amount you’re drinking until you’ve eventually weened yourself from the habit!
