How to Stay Committed To a Workout Plan After committing to a workout plan, and falling off the wagon for a few days, it can be hard to stay committed to your plan. Here are some tips if you’re struggling:
- Remember why you committed to the workout plan in the first place. The bigger the reason WHY, and the more you repeat this reason to yourself, the easier the HOW, and the easier it will be to stay committed to your plan.
- Try to understand yourself better – in times of weakness, our true colors show. What are you showing yourself when you think about falling off the wagon and not getting back on? Is your goal too large and are you intimidated, or do you feel distracted by other commitments? Be honest with yourself and come to know yourself more deeply.
- Finally, have compassion for yourself. Not everything in life is perfect, and this applies to your workout plan too. If you miss a day or two, remember that the following day is a new, fresh chance to start over and re-commit.
