Reduce Chronic Muscle Tension

If you suffer from chronic muscle tension, here are a few things you can do to reduce pain:

  • Try some light yoga and focus on your breathing with small, purposeful movements. Loosen up tight muscles by making small movements with mindfulness and breathing.

  • Purchase a foam roller and massage your back and thighs. Get into the big muscles to help diffuse the pain and reduce chronic build up of tension.

  • Treat yourself to a massage to break up tightness and remind your muscles what it feels like to relax. Depending on how chronic your pain is, getting a massage once a week for a few weeks up to a few months can greatly reduce your pain.
