Focused Foodie: Green Smoothie

 

1/2 avocado 

1 green apple

1 cup pineapple

1/2 cup kale

1 tbsp chia seeds

1/2-1 cup water

 

The avocado is a substitute for Greek yogurt to make it creamy. Either choice is healthy; the smoothie just won’t be as green with the yogurt!

(Avocado is incredibly nutritious, and contains more potassium than a banana. They’re loaded with fiber and can even lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels.)

 

Add berries as wanted for extra antioxidants/flavor, and then blend until smooth.
