I’ve often heard people say that because they had a cheeseburger and fries for lunch, their whole day is shot. This is absolutely untrue! Here’s how to start making better food choices, once decision at a time:
- Just because you had an unhealthy lunch or a candy bar in the morning does NOT mean that your whole day needs to become unhealthy. Instead, look at each decision as a new opportunity to make a healthier choice.
- Also, each choice is independent of the other. So just because you chose to eat ice cream for lunch doesn’t mean that lunch is over; instead, get a healthier option for later in the day and move on!
- Finally, don’t beat yourself up over making an unhealthy or “bad” choice. The more you focus on something negative, the harder it is to get out of the rut and do something positive.
