Your yoga block can be used more than just as a prop in your yoga class. Here are some ways to use the block for relaxation:
o Place the block flat on the ground with a pillow behind it. Lie down on the block, placing your upper back on the block and your head on the pillow. Allow your arms to reach overhead or to the sides, and feel the block gently digging into trigger points and opening up your upper back. Remember to breathe.
o Place the block underneath your tailbone, and raise your legs and feet up to the ceiling. Stay here to allow your lumbar spine and sacrum to release.
o You can also lie down with your head on the block. Use the edges of the block to release tension in your upper neck where your spine meets your scull.
