The intent and motivation behind wanting to get in shape or lose weight are very important. Here’s the difference between internal motivation and external motivation:
- Internal motivation comes from a deep intent within yourself to value your body and take care of yourself. It comes from your inner truth of wanting to do something good for yourself.
- External motivation can come from wanting others to like you, wanting to please someone, or feeling pressure to look or be a certain way.
- It is important to find your internal motivation when it comes to weightloss because this is how a healthy lifestyle will be sustained. When you have an intrinsic motivation for wanting to feel and look good, you will strengthen your commitment to your own health and fitness.
