Most wool blankets are itchy and fall apart quickly, but the Deluxe Recycled Wool Yoga Blanket from Yoga Accessories is nice and soft, and super thick and durable for years of heavy usage. This blanket is made from recycled wool. Yoga blankets make for a versatile yoga prop, coming in handy during shoulderstand, headstand, savasana, and more. Do not use if you have allergies to wool.

Dense, Firm, Solid - shed a lot
I ordered two of these blankets as props for clients to support in poses. They are nice and dense. Substantial. Which is great. They do, however, shed a TON when you first wash them. I mean a TON. But once I was done with that and the extra lint fell away, the quality of the blanket was great.

wool blanket
I liked this blanket a lot....bought along with a x-large cotton one, which I don't like. Bought in grey and now in daily use....easy to fold into many a supportive prop. I recommend this blanket.

Strong initial chemical smell, sheds like crazy, but is soft after washing
My grey blanket outgassed a weird chemical smell for awhile; even after washing. After a week or so, the smell has dissipated somewhat. The blanket is soft, and not bad quality for what you pay.

How to deal with shedding
This is a nice blanket. It is relatively itchy, if you''re sensitive to wool, but it''s ok as long as you have a different blanket to use over the top of it. It does shed rather a lot, but it helps tremendously if you spin it a number of times on the "air-fluff" (no-heat) cycle in your dryer. Check and empty your lint trap very often. I washed it and then spun it maybe six or eight times, for 30-45 minutes each time, and it has mostly stopped shedding on my clothes when I practice.

Yoga student
This blanket coated my washer and dryer with fibers and large lint when I washed it. It seems softer now that it is washed. I am concerned about the shedding, especially since I some how ordered maroon (which has a lot of red dye) instead of gray.

Super Strong
Some wool blankets fall apart after a couple of uses, but not this one! I can see it lasting for years and years after being used almost every single day.
